A family story: from Emile to Emma, the Noël saga continues…

Since 1920 a mill has been the heart of Pont-Saint-Esprit, a town nestling between Provence and the Cévennes. For 90 years, this mill has belonged to the Noël family, one of France's best-known oilmakers.
It all began with olives. Then came the era of diversification, with sunflower, rape, hazelnut, argan, evening primrose, borage, macadamia nut and soya. These raw materials have been grown organically since 1972.
Huilerie Emile Noël's complete mastery of oil production has prompted the company to diversify further, making soaps – including green Marseille soap – and honey and coconut shampoo, a product of yesteryear that now stars in the new Emma Noël range.

Organic, but no opportunism
There is no “green” opportunism in today's expansion of Emma Noël. Quite the contrary: the brand draws on the expertise of Huilerie Emile Noël, which back in 2003 was already selling 30 organic beauty products and was among the first signatories of the Cosmébio charter on organic cosmetics.

Since 1966, Huilerie Emile Noël has been making organic plant oils. And in recent years, the family-run business has been sharing this experience with leading names in organic cosmetics, supplying them with raw ingredients, i.e. the oils it has always made artisanally, using old screw-presses.
From day one, Huilerie Emile Noël offered its customers body-hygiene products containing organic plant oils (Marseille soap, liquid soap, soap bars, shower gels) – until the day it decided to create a second brand, EMMA NOEL, for all these cosmetic and beauty products.
Emma Noël was born in 2007.
